Oh My Goodness, It's Been A Minute!

Hello, hello!

I've been MIA for awhile, but! for good reasons. First reason: Sweet baby Jesus. The holidays chewed me up and spit me out five to ten pounds heavier. Cheese may or may not be to blame for that. Second amazing reason: I've actually booked a few jobs! Woot!

The first was a commercial for a trade school called CSI. I played a medical assistant by the name of Tracy Smith. We shot up in Spokane, Washington.  Producer Jeremy Paul took great care of us.  It was a great experience for my first commercial! It will air in Chicago. I'll post it once I get my grubby paws on it.  On this project, I definitely realized how important it is to keep my lines "fresh" for every take. Saying something 30 times in a row is easy, but saying it with energy like every time is the first time takes some thinking about.

I also booked a role in a SureFire commercial as a young mother. She gets caught up by a bad guy trying to steal her purse and then a cop saves the day with his fancy flash light. The commercial is for flashlights. Lol. Special thanks to Director Louis Anastas and Producer Gene Nagata for a great opportunity! I had a great time. Lesson learned on this project: if you are mic'd (they tape a microphone into your shirt), anyone with headphones on set can hear you... even when cameras aren't rolling. Thankfully, I refrained from telling any penis jokes, but I'll for sure keep that in mind from now on.

Lastly, I booked background work on True Blood. Normally, I wouldn't give myself much credit for BG, but I got my first SAG voucher doing this! Rob Swanson from casting is the MAN. My goal for 2012 is to get into that damn union and thanks to Rob, I'm a third of the way there, already!

Alrighty, I'm out of here. I need some food asap.

  1. I really like your new pictures. Your lipstick is always so stinking cute. You should do some make-up tutorials!
